Fresh, organic fare…
Our kitchen serves a mixed variety of Indian, Continental and Chinese. Our meals are prepared based on vegetables that are locally available and fresh. Most of our vegetables that we use in our kitchen come from our organic farm.
A lot of our recipes have been passed down from traditional Badaga cuisine that has been fused with the local cuisine over the last generation or two.
Featuring the choicest recipes from the ancient Badaga kitchens, the food at Red Hills Nature Resort is all sourced from our 80-year-old kitchen garden. We use heirloom seeds to grow all our organic veggies in keeping with natural practices. Our kitchen inspiration comes from Banu Kumar, who curates the menu each week with love and care.
While the dishes that trace their provenance to the Badaga community are a speciality, more contemporary fare, like pan-Asian, Continental and North Indian dishes also make a regular appearance at the table.
Start each day with a healthy breakfast, choose a packed lunch (if you are off on an adventure in the hills) or a sit-down buffet, and have a warm communal dinner with your fellow guests each night. Whatever the meal or occasion, we will be happy to cater to your every need and dietary wish.
All our food is cooked in a modern kitchen, but incorporates age-old techniques, such as wood-fired stoves, traditional marinades and sauces, and only the very best ingredients!
